Minister of Justice Fikret Mammadov met Ukraines ambassador to Azerbaijan Stepan Volkovetski.
Minister said historically friendly Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations are successfully developing, placing a special emphasis on mutual visits of Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Victor Yushenko of Ukraine. On the legal cooperation, F. Mammadov noted that both countries cooperate within international organizations. He highlighted the agreement on cooperation between Justice Ministries signed during Ukrainian Justice Ministers visit to Azerbaijan in 2002.
Ambassador stressed the key role of law-enforcement bodies in developing bilateral relations and expressed gratitude to the Justice Ministry for fruitful cooperation.
The issues discussed at the meeting included the expansion of cooperation, mutual trips of justice officials, legal assistance, execution of court rulings and others.
