Justice Minister Fikret Mammadov met with Belaruss ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich.
Minister said opening of embassies of both countries in Baku and Minsk could be considered as another step towards expansion of friendly relations between the two countries. According to him, President of Azerbaijan Ilham ALIyevs expected visit to Belarus will be an impetus to the bilateral relations. He said the existing agreement between the Justice Ministers of both countries opens up wide opportunities for cooperation in the legal field.
Ambassador pointed out that Belarus has concrete proposals to develop economic ties with Azerbaijan. N. Patskevich highly assessed the socio-political stability, national and religious tolerance in Azerbaijan.
The discussions at the meeting also revolved around the legal cooperation, experience exchange, legal assistance and other issues.
