CONTRIBUTION TO THE COOPERATION BETWEEN AZERBAIJAN AND GREECE
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with the European Public Law Center, which is one of the authoritative international organizations founded in Greece in order to promote rule of law and human rights.
 Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Director of the Center visited Baku recently. Greek guest visited the grave of Heydar Aliyev, National Leader of Azerbaijan and the Martyrs Lane. He also had productive meetings in Europa House in Baku, the Parliament (Milli Mejlis) and Baku State University.
Mr. Flogaitis was also received by Mr. Toghrul Musayev, the Deputy Minister of Justice, member of the EPLC Board of Directors. They discussed various issues, such as perspectives of cooperation within the TWINING programs in the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy and possibilities of the participation of the EPLC in these projects, opportunities of extension of Training of Lawyers in Rule of Law and Support of Necessary Reforms in Azerbaijan Project conducted in close mutual cooperation since last year.
 At the end of the visit Professor Flogaitis was received by Mr.Fikrat Mammadov, Minister of Justice, President of Judicial-Legal Council.
Underlining real result of mutual cooperation with the EPLC, Minister expressed his satisfaction with the useful events organized within the framework of the Project, such as mutual visits, lectures made by Greek experts in Constitutional and Supreme Courts as well as lectures for the candidates to judicial posts, scholarships granted to young lawyers. It was noted that the effective cooperation serves to the enlargement of the Azerbaijan-Greece relations.
 Noting the dynamic development of Azerbaijan, as well as wide-range measures aimed at improvement of justice system, Mr. Flogaitis expressed that Greece attaches specific importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. Underlining his unlimited pleasure with warm attitude and hospitality extended, Mr. Flogaitis expressed his satisfaction with the meeting at the Parliament and stressed his impression with beauty and modernity of the session hall. Greek quest noted good conditions created for the education and sport facilities for students in Baku State University, which he would like to see as a member of the organization, he lead. He evaluated all these developments as a manifistation of social-economy and scientific-cultural development in our country.
During the meetings, the necessity of continuation of joint Project was stressed, the perspectives of strengthening of cooperation were discussed as well as the exchange of views on concrete issues was hold.
