JUSTICE MINISTRY DELEGATION ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ATTORNEYS MEETING IN FINLAND
A delegation of Azerbaijani Justice Ministry led by Minister Fikrat Mammadov attended a meeting in Helsinki, Finland organized by the Executive Committee of the International Association of Attorneys to deal with organizational issues and measures to improve activity of the organization.
During the visit the Minister Mammadov had talks with his Finnish counterpart Ms. Tuya Braks. The parties focused on the issues concerning modernization and improvement of judicial system in Azerbaijan.
Ms. Braks said Azerbaijan is Finlands very important partner. She praised the progressive reforms basing carried out in Azerbaijan and expressed satisfaction with fruitful cooperation between the two countries under the international program Support for Penitentiary System of Azerbaijan. The Finnish Minister also expressed her countrys readiness to further expansion of cooperation in legal sphere.
Members of the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the activity of Helsinki Town Court as well as experience and working conditions of local judges.
